Why I don’t make annual resolutions

It’s almost that time of the year when it seems like everybody makes one or more resolutions for the new year (and then, days or weeks later, breaks them).

I don’t do this for a simple reason. A number changing on the calendar is a poor reason to make big changes. It’s setting yourself up for failure.

If you want to improve something in your life, do it because you want the better results on the other end. Do it becase it’s the right thing to do. Do it for somebody else, or do it for yourself.

But go do it. Today.
